Memore Privacy Policy

Privacy Policy

Memore helps you manage reminders and generate personal greeting drafts. To provide this service, we process account, contact, reminder, and draft data as described below. Where draft generation uses external AI services (such as OpenAI/Anthropic/Groq/Qwen), we send only the context needed to generate text (such as names, relationship labels, occasion details, and optional notes) to our configured language-model provider(s). We do not sell personal data.

This Privacy Policy explains how Memore collects, uses, stores, and protects personal data when you use the app and related services.

1. Data we collect

During registration, if you have not selected a country, Memore may suggest one from your device's mobile network country, SIM country, locale, or default timezone region. These reads do not require additional app permissions. Gender and country are optional and can be changed later in Settings.

2. How we use data

3. Advertising and device identifiers

Advertising. On the free plan, Memore may show banner ads through Google AdMob. Ads are intended to be non-personalized/contextual (we request non-personalized ad serving where supported). Google may process device/advertising identifiers and related ad interaction data under its own policies. Premium subscribers do not see in-app banner ads.

See Google's privacy information for AdMob and manage ad personalization in your device/Google account settings where available.

4. Contacts permission

Contact access is optional. If you grant contact permission, Memore imports contact information for reminder and drafting features. You can use Memore without importing contacts.

5. AI processing

AI-generated drafts. Greeting drafts are generated automatically from your contact/reminder context and settings. Generated text may be inaccurate or inappropriate in rare cases. Review and edit drafts before sending. Memore does not publish drafts to other Memore users; sending happens through external apps you choose (SMS, email, etc.).

To generate drafts, we may send relevant prompt context (such as contact name, relationship, occasion, and optional notes) to configured AI provider(s).

Memore may process drafting prompts through configured AI generation providers. Depending on deployment configuration, this can include self-hosted providers or third-party providers.

Optional debug prompt logging is only retained when explicitly enabled in-app for diagnostics.

6. User content and in-app sharing

Memore does not provide forums, public profiles, comments, or direct messaging between Memore users. Content you create stays tied to your account unless you export or share it through external apps.

7. Subscriptions and purchases

Premium is an optional auto-renewing subscription purchased through Google Play (Android) or the App Store (iOS). Payment, renewal, cancellation, and refunds are handled by the store. We receive purchase verification metadata and entitlement status, not your full payment card details.

8. Sharing and disclosure

9. Legal basis (EEA/UK)

10. Data retention

11. International transfers

Service providers used for AI processing, push delivery, and infrastructure may process data in countries outside your own. Where required, we use safeguards such as contractual protections and access controls.

12. Your privacy rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, export, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your personal data, and to object to some processing.

13. Account and data deletion

You can request account deletion from inside the app (Settings -> Delete account) or through the deletion page: /data-deletion.

14. Security

We apply technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal data, including transport security in production and access controls for backend operations.

15. Children's privacy

Memore is intended for general audiences and is rated for users 14+/Teen in app stores. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 14 (or under the minimum age required in your country). If you believe a child has provided data, contact us for deletion.

16. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.

17. Contact and complaints
